To obtain the permit follow these steps:

  1. Visit the FCC website

  2. Click on Register to obtain a FCC Registration Number (FRN).

  3. Follow the instruction to complete the registration.

  4. Log In to the FCC portal

  5. Log in with your FRN and password.

  6. On the left side click on >Apply for a New License (top left)

  7. Select RR – Restricted Operator from the list.

  8. Continue following the instructions.

  9. Once paid you will receive a link in your email to view the actual permit. This could take some time. If you read the comments you will see it takes about 24 hrs.

You can even request a replacement if you lose it.
