Bernards Story 1: I am a retired airline pilot, and I remember my days as a student pilot like it was yesterday. I was fascinated with flight from a young age and I knew that flying was my calling. I always dreamed of soaring through the skies and exploring the world from above. When I was in college, I took my first flying lesson, and I was hooked. The feeling of being in the air, and the thrill of maneuvering the aircraft was unlike anything I had ever experienced. I was determined to become a pilot, no matter what it took.
