These Torque Down plates are offered as a comparable for Lycoming PN# ST-222 and Continental torque plates for 470 520 and 550. The plate not only maintains a clamping force, but it also protects both the connecting rod and the case from damage caused by the connecting rod contacting the case during engine service. These have been modified to allow for wide Lycoming cylinders as well as Continental cylinders.
